Akash Singh is a young Left-arm pacer who represented India in the 2020 U-19 World Cup. He was an important member of the squad and contributed significantly to India’s success in reaching the finals. Akash Singh was bought by Rajasthan Royals in the 2020 IPL Auction. However, he did not get the chance in the Playing XI in his first season. Aakash Singh got his first opportunity to play in IPL in 2021 playing against Chennai Super Kings. He played only one match in the season and failed to take a wicket for his team.
In 2023, he was called as a replacement for Mukesh Choudhary in the Chennai Super Kings squad. Under the Captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, he played six matches and took five wickets with an average of 37.60 and a strike rate of 22.80.
