Alzarri Joseph came to the limelight when he played a crucial role in the 2016 Under-19 World Cup for West Indies. He was the leading wicket-taker for West Indies, which won the 2016 Under-19 World Cup. In 2019, Alzarri Joseph was signed by Mumbai Indians as an injury replacement for Adam Milne in the 2019 IPL season. In his first game against Sunrisers Hyderabad he returned figures of 6/12, the best figures by a bowler in IPL. However Joseph was released after his debut season, and later he was unsold for two seasons. Gujarat Titans drafted the Caribbean Pacer in the 2022 IPL auction.
Alzarri Joseph showed consistency in bowling good lengths throughout the tournament, which led to retaining him for next year. Although he picked 14 wickets in 16 innings he played for GT combining both seasons, GT released Joseph ahead of the 2024 IPL auction. Royal Challengers Bangalore signed Joseph for a huge price and stunned the auction. The addition of this Caribbean pacer will make the RCB’s bowling unit stronger.

Alzarri Joseph secured his first official IPL contract in the 2022 mega-auction. Gujarat Titans bought him for 2.4 Crores after his impressive performance for Mumbai Indians in 2019.
