Atharva Taide played eight first-class matches, 19 List-A matches, and 20 T20s before featuring in the IPL. He made his IPL debut in the 2023 season and so far has scored 186 runs from seven matches in his career. He averages around 26.57 and his strike rate is 144.19 with two half-centuries in the tournament. Atharva made his maiden half-century against Lucknow Super Giants (66 runs in 36 balls) while chasing a humongous target of 258 runs set by the opposition.
Taide was picked up by Punjab Kings in the 2022 IPL Mega Auction for INR 20.00 lakh. The team management retained him ahead of the 2024 IPL auction as he performed well in the previous season.
