Jaydev Unadkat is a talented and accomplished left-arm pacer. Jaydev has displayed great performance in domestic cricket playing for Saurashtra. Unadkat led the Indian bowling line-up in the 2010 U-19 World Cup. Kolkata Knight Riders scouting team saw potential and signed him for the 2010 IPL. He debuted for Kolkata Knight Riders in 2010 playing three matches and taking for wickets for the team.

He played for Delhi Daredevils in 2014 and dismissed nine batters across nine matches with an average of 30.00 and a strike rate of 20.77.
After a few underperforming seasons, Jaydev Unadkat had a wonderful season with Rising Pune Supergiants in 2017. He scalped 24 wickets across 12 matches with an average of 13.41 and a strike rate of 11.45. He joined the squad of Rajasthan Royals in 2018 and picked up 11 wickets. In 2019, Jaydev played in 11 matches and took 10 wickets with an average of 39.80 and a strike rate of 22.40.
He had an average season in 2020 and 2021, he managed to take only four wickets in each season. Jaydev Unadkat picked up six wickets in five matches playing for Mumbai Indians in the 2022 IPL season. Jaydev could not utilize the opportunities provided by Lucknow Supergiants in the 2023 IPL season. He played three matches but could not take any wickets. Jaydev Unadkat has been added to Sunrisers Hyderabad squad in the 2024 IPL Auction.

Jaydev Unadkat IPL Salary
Jaydev Unadkat was first handed an IPL contract in 2010 by Kolkata Knight Riders. Kolkata Knight Riders purchased him for INR 1.15 crore. Kolkata Knight Riders retained him for upcoming seasons and maintained a salary of INR 1.15 crore. Jaydev continued with Kolkata Knight Riders for the 2011 and 2012 IPL seasons.
In 2013, Jaydev Unadkat joined Royal Challengers Bang lore for INR 2.40 crore. After performing well for Royal Challengers Bangalore, he moved to Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) in 2014. He received salary of INR 2.80 crore with Delhi Daredevils in the 2014 IPL edition. Delhi Daredevils retained Unadkat for INR 1.10 crore for the 2015 IPL season. Jaydev Unadkat was picked up by Rajasthan Royals in 2018 for INR 11.50 crore. Unadkat became the most expensive player in the 2019 IPL Auction when he was signed by the Rajasthan Royals for INR 8.40 crore. Rajasthan Royals retained Jaydev Unadkat for an IPL salary of INR 3.00 crores per season for the 2020 and 2021 IPL seasons. Mumbai Indians signed him for INR 1.30 crores in the 2022 IPL Auction. Jaydev Unadkat joined the squad of Lucknow Supergiants for IPL 2023. Jaydev Unadkat received an IPL salary of INR 50.00 lakhs in 2023.
