KL Rahul started his IPL career with Royal Challengers Bangalore playing for them in the 2013 and 2014 seasons. After these seasons, he moved to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in 2014. He then returned to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for the 2016 and 2017 seasons.
In the IPL 2018 auction, Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) bought KL Rahul. He had a stellar performance, scoring over 650 runs and winning the Orange Cap for being the leading run-scorer. KL Rahul was released by Punjab Kings for the 2022 IPL auction and was picked up by Lucknow Super Giants, where he continues to flourish as a batsman and also lead the side.
In his IPL career to date, KL Rahul has played 118 IPL matches, scoring 4163 runs at an average of 46.78. He has also hit four centuries and 33 half-centuries, with his highest IPL score being an unbeaten 132 runs. Additionally, he has struck 355 fours and 168 sixes.

KL Rahul IPL Salary
KL Rahul was first picked by Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2013 IPL auction for a sum of Rs. 10 lakhs. He was then released and subsequently picked up by Sunrisers Hyderabad for the 2014 and 2015 seasons for around INR 1 crore. In 2016 IPL season RCB signed Rahul for Rs. 1 crore.
However, he was released before the 2018 IPL mega auction and was subsequently picked up by the Punjab Kings for INR 11 crores. Rahul was retained by PBKS until IPL 2021. On his request he was release from the franchise and in the 2022 IPL season Lucknow Super Giants bought him for INR 17 crores. KL Rahul will continue to play for Lucknow Super Giants in 2024, retaining his current IPL salary of INR 17 crores.
