The left-arm spinner came to the spotlight when he produced extraordinary results in the 2016 Under 19 World Cup. He was one of the promising talents found in that Indian squad, Mayank picked up a total of 11 wickets in 4 matches at a miserly average of 9.36. Punjab Kings took the opportunity and roped in Mayank Dagar for a decent price in the 2018 IPL. However, he didn’t get any chance to represent the franchise due to player combinations. Later, he was released in the following year which took him away from IPL for the next 5 years.
Mayank returned to IPL when Hyderabad signed him for the 2023 IPL. He played 3 matches for SRH in the 2023 IPL and managed to take only 1 wicket.
