It was a 19-year-old teenager who grabbed attention during India’s tour of Bangladesh in 2015. His excellent International debut series got him a contract in the IPL, and Sunrisers Hyderabad signed Rahman for the 2016 IPL. Rahman was exceptional with his bowling, where he picked up 17 wickets in that tournament. He played a crucial role in helping Sunrisers to clinch their maiden IPL title in 2016. However, Mustafizur Rahman was released by SRH ahead of the 2018 mega auction.
Mumbai Indians signed the star bowler, but he was dropped in the next season after a poor performance in the 2018 IPL. Rahman had a noteworthy campaign with Rajasthan Royals, where he picked up 14 wickets in that tournament. Unfortunately, he was not retained by Rajasthan Royals in the very next year. Mustafizur Rahman wasn’t in a good rhythm throughout the years he played for Delhi Capitals. Chennai Super Kings trusted the ability of Mustafizur Rahman and signed the star bowler for their upcoming 2024 IPL season.

Mustafizur Rahman IPL Salary
Mustafizur Rahman’s Outstanding figures in his debut series made it way easier to get a slot in the IPL. Sunrisers Hyderabad signed Rahman for 1.4 Crores in 2016, he continued his magic with the ball in his debut year. The left-arm pacer picked 17 wickets in his debut season and had been a great fit for SRH’s bowling lineup. Due to his unavailability in the following season, he played just one innings for SRH.
Mumbai Indians signed Rahman in the 2018 Mega auction for 2.2 Crores. But due to his poor form, MI released Rahman after being part of the team throughout the tournament. Rahman’s poor form resulted in being uncertain in a team, he played 4 different teams in 4 different years. Though he had an above-average season for Rajasthan in 2021, Rahman was released to the auction. Delhi signed the left-arm pacer for 2 Crores, but with his poor results, he was left out in 2023. CSK will pay Mustafizur Rahman a huge amount of INR 2 crores as IPL salary for the 2024 season.
