Gujarat Titаns had a strong IPL 2025 campаign holding the top spot on the points tаble for most of the season. Led by captain Shubman Gill, GT won 9 matches out of 14 аnd finished in the 3rd position with 18 points. The team showed great team spirit аnd reached the playoffs for the third time in four seasons. However, their journey ended in the Eliminator аgainst Mumbai Indians and they couldn’t add a second IPL title to their cabinet.
It was a solid campaign for Gujarat Titans, who bounced back well after failing to reach the playoffs last year. But looking ahead to IPL 2026, they have a chance to build аn even stronger team. The batting relied too much on the top three and the bowling conceded runs at high rаtes in some matches. Shubman Gill, Jos Buttler and Sai Sudharsan carried the side, yet Gujarat struggled because others didn’t contribute much. To improve the squad, Gujarat will work on these weak spots and make some smart picks in the IPL 2026 auction. That means they will need to release a few underperforming players first.

Gujarat Titans Targeted Players in IPL 2026 Auction
Marcus Stoinis
GT see Stoinis as the ideal fix for their middle-order. He can hit big in the 11–16 over phase and also bowl some handy pace. With his finishing skills and calmness under pressure, he adds great value.
Matt Henry
Henry could step in as the overseas pacer instead of Coetzee. The Kiwi quick has been in good T20 form and pairing him with Siraj and Rabada could make GT’s pace attack even stronger.
Sarfaraz Khan
GT struggled in the middle overs last season and Sarfaraz could be the answer. He plays spin well, rotates the strike and once set, can switch gears to score quickly.
Cameron Green
Green would be a dream signing for GT. He brings pace bowling, power-hitting and even the ability to open if needed. His all-round skills could solve multiple problems at once.
Kuldeep Sen
GT may look at Kuldeep Sen for his raw pace. He could be a good backup for Rabada or Siraj ensuring the bowling attack keeps its edge even when the main pacers rest.
Abdul Samad
Samad is a young hitter with a lot of potential. Already familiar with SRH and LSG’s setup, he could grow further under Rashid Khan’s mentorship and give that extra punch in the middle order.
Vishnu Vinod
GT have been short of a backup Indian wicket-keeper and Vishnu Vinod is a smart choice. He knows Indian pitches well, can adjust quickly and adds depth both with the bat and behind the stumps.
