Ajinkya Rahane wasn’t fluent in making runs in the Initial stage of his IPL career. 2012 was the breakthrough year in Rahane’s IPL career. Piling 560 runs at an average of 40 including his maiden hundred in IPL that year.
Rahul Dravid played a crucial role in building Rahane’s career during his tenure at Rajasthan Royals. Rahane had been a consistent performer for both Rajasthan Royals and Rising Pune Supergiants. Rahane’s pay kept on increasing over the years, soon he was among the IPL greats of that time. However, he struggled to score runs post-2017 in the IPL. But CSK trusted his experience and signed Ajinkya Rahane for 50 Lakhs in 2023. Rahane paid back the trust shown by his management and scored an excellent fifty against Mumbai Indians on his home ground.

Ajinkya Rahane IPL Salary
Ajinkya Rahane began his IPL career with his home team, the Mumbai Indians. However, as an uncapped player earning only 12 Lakhs, he received limited opportunities to display his batting talent. A shift to the Rajasthan Royals in 2011, along with a 20 Lakh pay raise, allowed Rahane to showcase his consistency and quickly became a valuable asset to the team, securing his place in the lineup. Following the 2014 mega auction, his salary skyrocketed to 7.5 Crores.
With the introduction of new teams, Pune acquired Rahane for 8 Crores in 2016, increasing his pay to 9.5 Crores the following year. In 2018, Rahane returned to Rajasthan Royals for a reduced fee of 4 Crores, eventually shifting to the Delhi Capitals in 2020 for 5.25 Crores. However, experiencing average form, his salary dropped to 1 Crore when Delhi released him in 2021. After a stint with the Kolkata Knight Riders, CSK acquired Ajinkya Rahane for the base price of 50 Lakhs in 2023.
