Delhi Capitals Women’s disappointing performance continues in the tournament. In the last match too, apart from Shafali Verma, the performance of the other batters was very disappointing, for which they had to pay the price by losing the match by eight wickets against Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women.

In batting, Shafali Verma gave the team a good start in the last match by coming in at the top order and scoring 62 runs in 41 balls. However, after that, other batsmen lost their wickets in quick succession and coming down the order, Sneha Rana made 22 while Lucy Hamilton scored 36 runs in 19 balls to take the team to a respectable score of 166. The top order of the team will definitely need to do well in batting.

In bowling too, Delhi Capitals Women had a very poor performance in the last match. Despite taking the big wicket of Grace Harris early on, they failed to put pressure on Bengaluru Women. Only M Kapp and Nandani Sharma managed to take a wicket each while the rest of the bowlers failed to make any breakthrough. However, a lot will be expected from Nandini Sharma, who has taken nine wickets in four matches in the league so far.

Mumbai Indians Women Preview

The Mumbai Indians Women have also failed to perform as expected this time. They have faced consecutive defeats in the last two matches, where in the last match against UP Warriorz they failed to achieve a target of 188 runs and lost the match by 22 runs.

In batting, in the last match, the Mumbai Indians Women’s batsmen failed to build big partnerships. They kept losing wickets at regular intervals, due to which the team’s run rate went down. However,  Amelia Kerr and Amanjot Kaur played and scored 49 and 41 runs, respectively, in the middle order, but they too failed to secure victory for the MI W. 

In bowling, Mumbai Indians women were considered good, but they failed to do well in the last match. However, Amelia Kerr  took three wickets for 28 runs in four overs and Nat Sciver-Brunt took two wickets. but the remaining bowlers failed to stop run flow, due to which the UP women’s team was successful in posting a big total. MI W needs to improve in the bowling line-up.
