Gujarat Giants Women have been performing poorly for some time now. In the last match, they faced a 61-run defeat against Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women. Bengaluru women, batting first, scored 178 runs, in response, to which, Gujarat Women could only score 117 runs. Clearly, their batting weaknesses were exposed in the last match.
In batting, Gujarat women needed a good start from the beginning in the previous match. but both their openers, Beth Mooney and Sophie Devine, failed to give a good start to the team and were out early and returned to the pavilion. However, in the middle order, captain Ashleigh Gardner definitely held the innings for some time and scored 54 runs in 43 balls. UP Warriorz have defeated Mumbai Indians women easily by giving a strong performance in both the last matches. In the last match also, while batting first, they scored 187 runs, after which Mumbai Indians women could score only 165 runs and UP W won the match by 22 runs. In this victory, the performance of their batters was outstanding.
Batting first in the last match, captain Meg Lanning gave a stellar start and smashed 70 runs in 45 balls from one end. She was supported by Phoebe Litchfield from the other end, scoring 61 runs in 37 balls at a strike rate of over 164. Apart from them, Harleen Deol and Chloe Tyrone batted well and took the team to 187.

Gujarat Giants women have consistently performed poorly but their past records against UP women has been excellent. Gujarat has established its dominance over UP women by winning four out of the last five matches.
