India Preview
Even after taking an unbeatable 1-0 lead with their big win in Ahmedabad, India showed their strong batting line-up. Three Indian players scored centuries in the first Test, showing the team’s good form and confidence. KL Rahul got back to form with a brilliant 100, his first Test century at home since 2016. He looked calm and focused, turning his start into a big score. Dhruv Jurel made a mark with his first Test hundred, scoring 125, showing he can step up in place of the injured Rishabh Pant.
Ravindra Jadeja was outstanding, scoring an unbeaten 104 and taking 4 wickets in West Indies’ second innings. Mohammed Siraj led the bowling attack with 7 wickets in the match, becoming the first bowler to reach 30 wickets in this World Test Championship cycle. India’s bowling was strong overall, with Jasprit Bumrah and Siraj taking 7 wickets in the first innings, while spinners Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav used the helpful pitch to good effect.
KL Rahul Total Runs Over 45.5 @ 1.85 – Rahul has found his rhythm with a century in the first Test and averages over 50 in the current WTC cycle. He knows Delhi conditions well from his IPL experience.
Ravindra Jadeja Total Runs Over 35.5 @ 1.90 – Jadeja has been in excellent form with the bat, scoring centuries in England and continuing his aggressive approach in the first Test.
West Indies Preview
West Indies came into this series after a 0-3 loss to Australia at home, and their problems continued in Ahmedabad. Their batting failed badly, scoring just 162 and 146 with no player making a fifty in either innings. Captain Roston Chase said batting is their main issue, as the team struggled to build partnerships or post good totals. Injuries to key fast bowlers Alzarri Joseph and Shamar Joseph have also weakened their bowling.
Justin Greaves offered some resistance, scoring 32 and 25, while debutant Johann Layne and Khary Pierre added some runs lower down the order. However, their bowlers struggled against India with only Jayden Seales and Jomel Warrican taking wickets. After this heavy loss, the team’s confidence is low and they will need their experienced players to lead, especially on the batting-friendly pitch in Delhi.
Brandon King Total Runs Under 25.5 @ 1.75 – King has struggled for consistency this year with just 147 runs in 4 matches, managing only 13 and 5 in the first Test.
Jayden Seales Total Wickets Over 2.5 @ 2.10 – Seales is West Indies’ leading wicket-taker in the current WTC cycle with 14 wickets and will be their primary threat on the Delhi surface.

IND vs WI Pitch Report
The pitch at Arun Jaitley Stadium will be quite different from the green track in Ahmedabad. With a black-soil base and some grassy and bald patches, it is expected to be much easier for batting at the start. The surface should give even bounce, with less seam movement and the quick outfield and shorter boundaries will help batters score runs in the first two days.
As the match goes on, the pitch is likely to dry and start helping spinners. Rough patches and uneven bounce will make conditions favorable for India’s spin trio of Jadeja, Washington Sundar and Kuldeep Yadav. The weather in Delhi is expected to be clear with temperatures around 32°C, so play should continue without interruptions.
IND vs WI Winner Prediction
Based on current form and team strength, India are clear favorites for this match. Their batting is in excellent form with three centurions in the first Test and their bowling attack balances pace and spin perfectly.
West Indies continue to struggle with the bat and haven’t beaten India in a Test since 2002. While the batting-friendly Delhi pitch may help them score more runs, India’s overall quality makes them strong favorites. India are likely to complete a 2-0 series win with the match possibly finishing in four days despite the easy conditions for batting.
