In the last match, Namibia suffered a massive 93-run defeat while chasing 210 against India and lost the game, which was their second consecutive defeat in this tournament. Their batting was almost completely flopped against the Indian bowling line-up, due to which they lost the last match.

Namibia’s batting performance was very poor. Although the top order batsmen made good partnerships for the first and second wickets and helped the team reach a respectable score, after that, wickets kept falling continuously and Namibia was all out for 116 runs. Lauren Steenkamp and John Freelink made 29 and 22 runs respectively while the rest of the batsmen failed to perform well.

In bowling, Captain Gerhard Erasmus was the best bowler for the team, who took four wickets for 20 runs in 4 overs. Bernard Scholtz, Ben Shikongo, JJ Smith also managed to take one wicket each, but these bowlers proved to be very expensive.

After suffering two consecutive defeats, the USA put up a brilliant performance against the Netherlands in the last match, winning the match by 93 runs. Batting first, the USA posted a huge total of 196, in response to which the Netherlands were all out after scoring just 103 runs. 

In batting, the USA got a good start from the top order as Monank Patel scored 36 runs in 22 balls. Apart from her, Saiteja Mukkamalla was the highest run scorer of the last match, scoring 79 runs in 51 balls, with a strike rate of over 154. In the middle order, Shubham Ranjane also made a good contribution by scoring 48 runs in 24 balls and taking the team to a big total of 196.

USA’s bowling once again proved to be the best as Harmeet Singh took four wickets for 21 runs in four overs. Shadley van Schalkwyk continued his fine form by taking three wickets for 21 runs in 2.5 overs. He also becomes the highest wicket-taker of the tournament and has taken a total of 11 wickets in three matches so far.
