Axar Patel hailing from Gujarat started playing in the IPL in 2014. However, he was named to the Mumbai Indians team in 2013 but did not receive the opportunity to play. The next season he was added to the Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) squad in the Mega IPL Auction. Axar’s terrific skills and talent made him an integral part of the Punjab’s squad. He played his first IPL season under the Captaincy of Australian batter George Bailey.
Axar Patel was the second-highest wicket-taker for Punjab that year scalping 17 wickets. Kings XI Punjab topped the Points table with 11 wins out of 14 matches. Axar Patel played a huge role for Punjab that year contributing with his valuable performances. Axar Patel continued his IPL journey with Kings XI Punjab till 2018. He was released from the Kings XI Punjab squad ahead of the 2019 IPL Auction. Axar was bought by Delhi Capitals in 2019 and from then on he has become an important player of Delhi Capitals. The left-arm player has taken 112 wickets and scored 1418 runs in the IPL.

Axar Patel IPL Salary
Axar Patel was purchased by Mumbai Indians in 2013 worth his base price of Rs.10 lakh. Axar Patel was released by Mumbai Indians ahead of the 2014 IPL Auction and Kings XI Punjab( now Punjab Kings) picked him up for Rs.75 lakh. He continued with the Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) till 2017 for the same salary. Axar’s Value increased in 2018 when Punjab retained him for Rs.6.75 crore. Axar Patel IP; salary was increased by Rs.6 crore.
Kings XI Punjab decided to say goodbye to Axar in 2019 and released him from the squad before the IPL Auction. Delhi Capitals decided to go for him in the 2019 Auction and purchased his skillset worth INR 5 crores. Axar got a good value for his talent and hard work. Ahead of the 2022 Mega IPL Auction, Delhi Capitals announced their three retained players and Axar was one of the player. Delhi Capitals retained Axar Patel current IPL salary is worth INR 9 crores and he is all set to perform in 2024 IPL season.
