Manish Pandey, a versatile batsman, began his IPL journey in 2008 with Mumbai Indians after his U-19 World Cup win alongside Kohli and Jadeja. Released by them, he found a new home at Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2009, etching his name in history as the first Indian to score a century in IPL (114* off 73). However, after two decent seasons (417 runs), he was released again. Inconsistent stints with Pune Warriors followed before Kolkata Knight Riders acquired him in 2014.
Manish Pandey thrived there, playing a crucial 94-run knock in the 2014 IPL final. He has amassed 1270 runs for Kolkata Knight Riders till the 2017 IPL season. Manish Pandey joined Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2018, contributing 284 runs and three fifties. Retained for three more seasons, he was released in 2022 and saw a dip in form, scoring only 88 runs in six games for Lucknow Super Giants. After a stint with Delhi Capitals in 2023, he returned to his former team, Kolkata Knight Riders, in the 2024 auction.
