Delhi Capitals Women (DC W) have finished as runners-up in all three seasons of the Women’s Premier League. Even though they topped the points table each time and reached the final without playing the Eliminator, they still could not win the trophy. Before the 2026 season, DC W retained five players and went into the mega auction with ₹5.70 crore left. They had 13 spots to fill, including four overseas players. Jemimah Rodrigues, Shafali Verma, Annabel Sutherland, Marizanne Kapp, and uncapped player Niki Prasad were all retained.
For WPL 2026, DC made some strong signings. Chinelle Henry was picked for ₹1.30 crore and could be a key player. They replaced Meg Lanning with Laura Wolvaardt, and the team management has suggested that Jemimah Rodrigues may become the new captain from the 2026 season.
