Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) Women entered the WPL 2026 mega auction with very little purse and many gaps to fill. After keeping four players for ₹8.85 crore, they had to rebuild a strong squad and try to create another champion team like they did in 2024. Most of their focus was on fixing their batting order and adding depth to the middle overs.
They needed an opener to support Smriti Mandhana and picked Georgia Voll, with Hemalatha and Gautami Naik as backups. Perry will bat at number three, but positions four and five still look weak. Richa Ghosh may bat at six, while Pratyoosha Kumar, Grace Harris and Naik are the only options for the middle order.
RCB’s bowling unit looks significantly stronger this time around, boasting two frontline pacers and three pace all-rounders for solid depth. Perry, Vastrakar, and Lauren Bell should dominate the powerplay, while Harris, de Klerk and Arundhati Reddy handle middle and death overs. The spin department is equally robust with Shreyanka Patil, Prema Rawat, Radha Yadav and Linsey Smith meaning RCB covered key bases well on a tight budget. If the top order clicks and bowlers hold firm, they’ll be contenders in WPL 2026.
