Dinesh Karthik is one of the most experienced wicket-keeper batsmen in the current era. A veteran campaigner in the IPL. The wicket-keeper batter has represented six teams over the course of his IPL career. He started off with Delhi Daredevils in 2008 before moving to Kings XI Punjab in 2011. He spent the following two seasons with Mumbai Indians before going back to Delhi in 2014. RCB bagged him in 2015 and he played for Gujarat Lions in 2016 and 2017 before spending four seasons with KKR. And then he returned back to RCB after seven years for the 2022 IPL. Dinesh Karthik showed consistency with the bat throughout the 2018 IPL. He scored 498 runs with an exceptional strike rate of 147.77 in his first year as a Captain. Dinesh Karthik led Kolkata Knight Riders to playoffs in 2018 and his side finished fifth in the points table in 2019. Ahead of the 2022 IPL auction , Dinesh Karthik was released by KKR and was available for the Mega Auction. This will be Karthik’s second stint with RCB after the 2015 season when he was acquired for a huge price in the 2022 auction. He displayed his potential with the bat straightaway in that tournament. Dinesh Karthik IPL Salary
Dinesh Karthik was part of various franchises in his IPL career starting with Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals). He earned his first IPL contract from Delhi for 2.1 Crores in 2008 and represented Delhi for the next 3 years. Then Punjab Kings bought him for 4.14 Crores where he lasted for just a year and got transferred to Mumbai the very next year. Dinesh Karthik played a crucial role for Mumbai Indians to get their maiden IPL title. But even that wasn’t enough for Mumbai to retain their star performer. For the next three seasons, Dinesh Karthik featured in three different franchises. In 2014, DD bought his services for 10.5 crores, and in 2015 RCB pocketed him for an unreal 12.5 crores.

But 2018 brought good news and great form for Dinesh as he was chosen to lead KKR and signed for 7.4 crores ahead of the 2018 IPL. His Service came to an end in 2021 when KKR released their former captain. But still, Dinesh hasn’t lost his value, RCB signed him for 5.5 crores in the 2022 auction.
