Australian pacer Jhye Richardson made headlines with his performance while playing for Perth Scorchers in the BBL. Jhye Richardson also helped Perth Scorchers clinch the title. Jhye Richardson played his first season with the Punjab Kings. He took only three wickets in the season. He then joined Mumbai Indians but didn’t play a match for the franchise due to injury. In the 2024 IPL Auction, Delhi Capitals bought him. It will be interesting to watch if Jhye Richardson is given the opportunity in Playing XI.

Richardson could not justify his price with his performance. After missing the IPL in 2022, he was picked by the Mumbai Indians for INR 1.5 crore. In the 2024 Auction Delhi Capitals decided to acquire his services for INR 5 crore.
